What is an EMDR Intensive?

Intensive Therapy sessions are conducted in 3 hour increments over one day, several days or over a few months depending on your goals. Unlike traditional weekly therapy sessions, an Intensive allows us to focus deeply on a specific issue, providing the time and space necessary for true breakthroughs.

You know you need something different out of therapy.

You’ve spent years reflecting on your experiences and developing a deep understanding of how your past has shaped your present.

You recognize how your childhood experiences have influenced your life, but integrating this awareness into lasting change has been difficult.

A typical therapy session has not offered you enough time to open up old wounds, reflect on them, and close them down before returning to your daily life.

You’re ready to stop feeling…

Weighed down by a persistent sadness or anxiety that never seems to fully go away

As though other people’s needs are more important than your own

EMDR Intensives can help deliver real and lasting change.

EMDR is an evidence-based treatment for trauma.  When integrated with parts work, EMDR Therapy offers an even deeper healing experience. This approach allows you to connect with younger parts of yourself, healing the wounds from childhood that may still be impacting you today.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach that helps people heal from traumatic and stressful experiences. It works by stimulating both sides of the brain through bilateral eye movements or other forms of dual attention stimulation, allowing you to process and release emotional distress associated with past experiences.

  • Your EMDR Intensive is designed around your unique needs and goals. Kristen will work closely with you to create a personalized plan that considers your pace and comfort level. You’ll have time to process and heal in a way that traditional therapy doesn’t always allow, giving you space to breathe, reflect, and grow.

  • You can expect to experience more than just temporary relief—you’ll begin a lasting transformation that impacts every area of your life. It provides you with an opportunity to break free from the patterns of the past and step into a future of greater emotional freedom, healthier relationships, and a more authentic sense of self.

Transformation

Imagine what life could look like if the emotional weight of your past no longer held you back.

Clarity and Confidence in Decision-Making

No longer stuck in indecision or the constant need to please others, you’ll start to develop a stronger sense of self, learn to trust your own inner voice and confidently make decisions that align with your needs and desires.

Freedom from the Emotional Triggers of Your Past

Many clients report feeling a newfound sense of calm and emotional stability after working through their childhood experiences. The intense sadness, anxiety, or anger that once felt overwhelming may begin to dissipate.

Renewed Sense of Connection

The feelings of being different or disconnected may soften as you do this deep healing work. You’ll start to see that you are worthy of connection, love, and support, and you’ll find the courage to let people in—whether in friendships, partnerships, or family relationships.

Healthier, More Fulfilling Relationships

As you heal from the wounds of childhood, you’ll find that your relationships start to shift. Old patterns of people-pleasing, conflict avoidance, or feeling disconnected will give way to healthier boundaries and deeper emotional connections. You’ll begin to relate to others from a place of authenticity and strength.

Stronger Sense of Identity

Through the process you will have the opportunity to reconnect with parts of yourself that were hidden or suppressed for too long. You’ll begin to uncover yourself…what you want, what you value, and who you are outside of the expectations of others.

Path to Lasting Change

Through an EMDR Intensive, you can expect to experience more than just temporary relief—you’ll begin a lasting transformation that impacts every area of your life. This is your opportunity to break free from the patterns of the past and step into a future of greater emotional freedom, healthier relationships, and a more authentic sense of self.

At the end of the day, I want you to know:
