What is an EMDR Intensive?
An EMDR Intensive condenses therapy into focused, three-hour blocks that can be scheduled over one day, several consecutive days, or spread out over a few months—depending on your goals and availability. This structure allows us to dive into your core issues without the usual weekly start-and-stop of traditional sessions, creating space for deeper healing and real breakthroughs.
Why an Intensive?
If you’ve spent years in therapy yet still find yourself impacted by old traumas or relationship patterns, an EMDR Intensive can help you finally move forward. We dedicate extended time to fully explore and process unresolved wounds so you can achieve the breakthroughs you’ve been seeking—often more quickly and effectively than with a standard 50-minute session.
You know you need something different from therapy
You’ve done the hard work of self-reflection and understand how your childhood shaped who you are.
You’ve tried talk therapy, and while you gained insight, you haven’t found the lasting transformation you long for.
You feel limited by the short window of weekly sessions—there’s never quite enough time to unpack deeply rooted emotions before you have to return to the responsibilities of work, family, or caregiving.
How EMDR Intensives Deliver Lasting Change
Evidence-Based Trauma Treatment
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a proven approach for addressing trauma and deeply held emotional wounds. When integrated with “parts work” (which acknowledges and heals the younger parts of yourself), it helps you work through core childhood experiences that continue to affect your adult relationships and self-esteem.
In an Intensive format, you won’t just skim the surface; you’ll have the time, space, and experienced support to fully engage with and resolve these painful memories.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach that helps people heal from traumatic and stressful experiences. It works by stimulating both sides of the brain through bilateral eye movements or other forms of dual attention stimulation, allowing you to process and release emotional distress associated with past experiences.
-
Your EMDR Intensive is designed around your unique needs and goals. Kristen will work closely with you to create a personalized plan that considers your pace and comfort level. You’ll have time to process and heal in a way that traditional therapy doesn’t always allow, giving you space to breathe, reflect, and grow.
-
You can expect to experience more than just temporary relief—you’ll begin a lasting transformation that impacts every area of your life. It provides you with an opportunity to break free from the patterns of the past and step into a future of greater emotional freedom, healthier relationships, and a more authentic sense of self.
Let’s get started.
Transformation
Imagine Life Without the Emotional Weight of Your Past
Clarity & Confidence in Decision-Making
Free from the constant loop of second-guessing and people-pleasing, you’ll learn to trust your inner voice. Whether it’s changing careers, setting boundaries, or navigating family dynamics, decisions become clearer and more aligned with your true needs.
Freedom From Emotional Triggers
Many clients experience a tangible sense of calm and emotional stability after processing their childhood traumas. The intense sadness, anxiety, or anger that once felt overpowering may ease, allowing you to reclaim your day-to-day life with less turmoil.
Healthier, More Fulfilling Relationships
As you process and release old wounds, unhealthy patterns like people-pleasing or conflict avoidance can shift dramatically. You’ll begin to show up in relationships with confidence and authenticity, leading to stronger, more supportive connections.
A Path to Lasting Change
Because we’re going straight to the core of what’s holding you back, you’ll experience more than a temporary fix—you’ll ignite a deeper transformation that touches every aspect of your life. This is about moving past old barriers and embracing a future defined by emotional freedom, healthy relationships, and true self-discovery.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
