EMDR therapy for women who already know the pattern
You can name what you learned growing up in your family yet still get stuck in the same reactions. The insight isn't the problem. The work is about connecting to where the pattern started, and changing it there.
In-person in Manchester, CT and online across CT and NH.
You’re here because
You can probably narrate the whole loop
You know your childhood impacted you. You can name your patterns out loud. You can track the moment a conversation with your partner tipped, the shame that landed thirty seconds later, the over-functioning you did to smooth it over by the next morning.
You might recognize some of this:
An argument with your partner over something that, on paper, was small. Then hours of replaying it.
Going quiet or getting sharp with your mother, and feeling about twelve years old while it happens.
Misinterpreting your adult child's tone as danger and not being able to stop.
Holding it together at work, with friends, in every room where you are the competent one. Coming home depleted in a way that doesn't match the day.
Knowing exactly where this comes from. Having explained it, in detail, to more than one therapist. Watching it run anyway.
If you have done years of this work, the frustration is real and understandable. The frustration is usually what finally brings women here, despite the slight embarrassment of walking into another therapist's office with all this insight already. Not because the insight was wrong. Because insight, on its own, doesn't reach the place the pattern actually lives.
Hi. I’m Kristen.
I offer a highly focused, intensive approach to therapy.
My path to becoming an EMDR therapist began in an unexpected place - through my own struggles and therapy. After years in corporate leadership and feeling unfulfilled, I found myself facing depression and choosing partnerships that didn't serve me.
Traditional therapy helped me understand these patterns, but it was EMDR that finally helped me transform them. This profound personal transformation led me to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and get certified in EMDR therapy. Today, I help other women experience the same deep healing that changed my life.
What sets my approach apart is the intensive format. While traditional weekly therapy can help you understand your patterns, EMDR intensives create the focused space needed to truly resolve them. We create the right environment for your brain to heal, and then give it the time and space it needs to integrate this healing.
HELPING YOU TRANSFORM
My Intensive EMDR approach is ideal for women who:
Have benefited from traditional therapy but feel ready for deeper change
Are stable in their daily lives and have good support systems
Can recognize how their past influences their present
Are willing to look at childhood experiences to understand present-day patterns
Identify as empathetic, intuitive, or highly sensitive, and want a therapist who “gets” this trait
Are ready to invest in focused, transformative work
EMDR Intensives: A Different Approach to Healing
EMDR Intensives: A Different Approach to Healing
Unlike traditional weekly therapy, EMDR intensives provide the focused time and space needed to fully process difficult memories and experiences. Sessions typically run 3 hours, allowing us to:
Process memories without feeling rushed
Create lasting neural changes
Maintain momentum in the healing process
Work at a pace that honors your nervous system
We will schedule our intensive sessions at a pace that works for you maybe a few sessions over a couple of weeks or months which allows your brain time to integrate the healing between sessions. This approach has helped my clients finally break free from patterns they've struggled with for years.
